The PASCAL team, together with representatives of the European Union in Angola / European Union in Angola, and the Ministry of Territorial Administration, continued their working visit to the municipality of Icolo e Bengo, one of the pilot municipalities of the project in the province of Luanda .
After a cordial meeting with the Municipal Administrator, Isabel Nicolau, our team had a valuable first contact with the Community Consultation Council (CAC). During the interaction, the CAC received guidance on the Open Government lab ecosystem, with the aim of supporting the promotion of collaborative processes in the development of local programs and projects, encouraging citizens to contribute with ideas and solutions.
In addition, we held a productive meeting with the Technicians of the Municipal Budget Management Committee (CTGOM), where we discussed the ongoing projects and the challenges faced by the committee. At the end, we highlighted the importance of implementing the three pillars of open government: collaboration, transparency and participation.
We are facilitating processes, promoting interaction between citizens, public and social entities, companies and academia, all with a unique vision of democracy.
