PASCAL Grants

Grants are financial support given to organizations or projects for the development of activities that are aligned with the objectives of an institution or programme.

In the context of PASCAL (Project to Support Civil Society and Local Administration), funded by the European Union, the grants are aimed at strengthening civil society organizations in Angola, promoting citizen participation, transparency and good governance.

Purpose of PASCAL grants

The main objective of PASCAL grants is to empower and financially support projects that promote social inclusion, active citizen participation in decision-making processes and improved local governance. These grants are awarded so that organizations can implement initiatives that directly benefit communities, encouraging transparency, accountability and innovation in the local context.

Thus, grants allow organizations to carry out actions that:

  • Involve communities in public policy decisions.
  • Promote education and awareness about civil rights and governance.
  • Strengthen institutional and local capacities to improve public services.
